Temecula Farmers Market
Fun, Fresh Food and Friends

If you’re still buying your fruits and veggies at the supermarket, it’s probably because you haven’t stopped by a farmer’s market in a while. Once you see, smell and taste the difference fresh, local produce can make in your favorite recipes you’ll never go back to those poor, plastic-wrapped imports! The Temecula Farmers Market has the added benefit of being held in an agricultural wonderland where delicious, healthy fruits and vegetables – not to mention brilliant flowers of all shapes, sizes and colors – grow all year round.

Saturday Morning Old Town Farmers Market

Temecula Farmers MarketLooking for something to do on a Saturday morning? Planning a picnic later? Just want to take a stroll in a fun, colorful market?

At the start of the day, Temecula residents all head for one place – the North end of historic Old Town Temecula, where they browse the seasonal offerings of between 70 to 80 farmers and vendors, who come to sell their locally grown plants and flowers, organic and conventionally grown fresh fruits and vegetables and complimentary items including bakery goods, olives, olive oils, cheeses, kettle corn, tamales, hand made soaps and lotions and even all-natural pet foods! You’ll often also get a look at some of the local talent as a small group of Temecula artists usually come by to show their works.

This is a “Certified” Farmers Market – what that means is that the produce you buy at the marketplace is certified by the state of California, ensuring that it is fresh and locally grown. The fruits and vegetables meet all quality control measures of the state and each item is actually sold by the person responsible for growing it.

The bright hustle and colorful bustle of the marketplace is just one of the stops at your disposal when you come on down to Old Town Saturday mornings, so come by and bring your reusable bags! (28464 Front Street) on 6th and Front Streets in Old Town Temecula - from 8am to 12:30pm.

As you can see by the video below, shopping at a Farmers Market is a great way to motivate you to buy healthy fruits and veggies, maintaining not only your figure, but your overall health. You’ll find that most everyone in Temecula is open and friendly, you’re sure to get a smile and some conversation while you do your shopping. Once you’ve spent a Saturday morning at the Temecula market you’re sure to get into the local habit of stocking up for the whole week, or at least enough of everything to last until the Wednesday Morning Farmer’s Market at the Promenade Mall! Unlike going to the grocery store, the farmer’s market is actually fun for the whole family and, best of all, it’s admission free – so there really is no excuse to sleep in Saturdays anymore!

Wednesday Morning Farmers Market at the Promenade Mall

While Wednesday offers a smaller Temecula Farmers Market to enjoy, don’t be surprised if you bump into some of the same vendors that gather on Saturdays.

This morning treat is offered at the Promenade Mall (40820 Winchester Rd) just outside Macy’s. The fun starts between 8 and 9 in the morning and keeps on going until 1pm.
