Though most visitors to the beautiful Temecula Valley come to hit the wineries and sample the valley’s most celebrated product, they soon find out that this town is no one-trick-pony. The great variety of bars and pubs is truly overwhelming and offers tired sightseers a chance to sit down with a cold microbrew, Italian Prosecco, fancy schmancy cocktail or smooth, aged liquor.

There is plenty of choice when it comes to the local bar offerings too – are you hungry? Well good, because some of these places are just as famous for the food as they are for the atmosphere and drink specials (The Edge Restaurant and Lounge, Barley&Hops, La Cocina.. so many more!), or are you just into some happy hour snacks? Temecula has some awesome bars for happy hour where you can enjoy discounted appetizers and more along with your drink specials. Are you a cigar aficionado? We’ve got you covered. Step into Zarka Cigar Lounge for an unforgettable experience. You can enjoy your smoke while watching the game on one of the flat screen TVs found on almost every wall, play pool or cards, watch a movie in a mini cinema, surf the net on one of Zarka’s laptops with free wi-fi or just kick back in an overstuffed leather sofa or chair – and Zarka isn’t even the only choice for cigar aficionados, they can also try out the Olde World Cigar Lounge which boasts many of the same amenities.  And if, like so many of us, sports is your bag, you can get into the game while shooting pool in one of Old Town’s sports bars.

Of course one size does not fit all and we are all looking for just the right atmosphere to match our expectations and personality; some of us love the excitement of being in the crush of a crowded bar, the excitement of a live band, the dance-on-the-tables good times of a bar catering to younger clients or, on the other hand, some of us just want to relax and chill with a nice Merlot or 15 year old scotch and listen to some live jazz, or even take in a classic movie while sipping a martini – yes ma’am that’s on offer too in Temecula.

Or, if you’re over 18, you can head down to Stampede for some pool, darts, line-dancing, dance lessons and even test your mettle on a mechanical bull.
